Description
Pomacanthus imperatorAngelfish are available in a wide variety of colors, patterns, and sizes, making them attractive to aquarium enthusiasts of all experience levels. The Imperator Angelfish is very hardy and will thrive in aquariums as long as there is sufficient swimming space and a balanced, nutritious diet. In the wild, they typically consume a diverse range of algae, sponges, tunicates, and other benthic organisms. So, they will need a varied diet that mimics this. The Imperator Angel can grow to be about 15” in size and will need sufficient swimming space and rockwork for grazing. Adult Imperator Angelfish will require an aquarium of around 250 gallons, though smaller tanks can suffice when they are juveniles. Like many large angelfish, they undergo a dramatic transformation as they mature from juvenile to adult. They are found inhabit ledges and caves in coral rich areas of clear lagoons within the Indo Pacific up to 100 meters deep.
